WHITE INK

About my work

I love turning my drawings and sketches into tattoos because of their unique style and elements. I’m also doing concept tattoos that combine different elements with fine line geometric designs or patterns to tell a story. I create a lot of botanical floral pieces and often add animals or insects to them. Tattoos should complement your body and be a unique addition, so I pay attention to all the details

About me

My name is Maria. I’ve been drawing since I was little and have been surrounded by art my entire life. I graduated from art school in Russia and studied in an architecture university there. Art plays an important role in my life.
Tattooing, for me, is one way to express myself

PORTFOLIO

Preparing for appointment
You should eat well before the session, it will help to avoid dizziness in the process, as well as nourish your body with the necessary energy. I recommend bringing some snacks with you, especially sweets

Step 2

It is very important to get a good night’s sleep before the session. A healthy 7−8 hour sleep will help you to bear the process more comfortable, and the body to recover faster

Step 1

Loose and comfortable clothing will help to make sure that you aren’t randomly getting itchy, overheated and it will allow you to easily re-adjust your positioning in case you become uncomfortable

Step 3

You should moisturize your skin 1−2 times a day with a moisturizing cream for 7−10 days before the session. This will ensure easy application of the ink. It is necessary to shave areas with hair on your own the day before the appointment

Step 4

Drink a lot of water, it will make your skin hydrated and prepared for your tattoo session. Hydrated skin takes ink a lot better than dehydrated skin

Step 5

Think in advance about what will help you to not get bored at the session. It can be your favorite music, series or book. Don’t forget to take your headphones

Step 6

It is forbidden to take alcohol and blood-thinning drugs (aspirin) at least one day before the session. They can cause profuse bleeding during work

Step 7

AFTERCARE

First step

On the 4th day, carefully and slowly remove the Saniderm tape by pulling it to the sides. Wash the area with soapy water first

Use ointment to heal

Then start moisturizing your tattoo with an ointment like AND or coconut oil in the next few days, a couple of times a day, especially if it’s itching or peeling
Avoid swimming in an ocean/pool for two weeks after getting a tattoo

No swimming

Remember to put sunscreen on your tattoo every time you go tanning

Use sunscreen

The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life
